Oh wow, once again I must say that I sure know how to pick the strange ones ^_^ Sure, this manga has a cute cover. Doesn't she look genki and happy? and ....normal? Sure, the artwork inside is cute too, the boy in it looks just like Yuu from Marmalade Boy. In fact hey, the plot is a lot like Marmalade boy too! (And it has a lot of the common shoujo manga plot characteristics I mention in that section) But then I read the story more closely and I can only sit there with a very Kenshin-like expression of "...oro?" on my face ^_^ Yep, I picked up this series because it looks cute, and now I am gonna have to find volume 2 because the story is so... shoujo-manga-ish ^_^

'Aishite Naani?' introduces us to a cute high school girl Kisa-chan. Kisa-chan and her father have been on their own since Kisa was little. Apparently her parents were divorced when she was very young. But now her father has just remarried. While the happy couple is off on their honeymoon, Kisa-chan is left by herself at home. But things get interesting with the immediate arrival of a very cute guy named Shou-kun. Shou claims to be Yuki's (Kisa-chan's new stepmother) younger brother. So I guess that would make Shou-kun Kisa-chan's step uncle? Anyway, Shou-kun says he and Kisa-chan are now a family, and he moves in. Kisa thinks Shou-kun is really cute, but is rather startled when he claims that he is not interested in girls. EH? Is he gay? Oh no! This thought takes up a lot of Kisa-chan's mind.

At school, Kisa has 2 best friends. One is a boy she has known forever, and currently has a crush on. His name is Wataru-kun. If this were Marmalade Boy, you can think of him as the Ginta-type. Kisa-chan's other friend is named Noriko. She is Kisa's confidant. Anyway, Kisa and Shou-kun have the house to themselves for a very short time before Kisa's papa and his bride return. But by this time things between Kisa and her friends get interesting as Kisa wonders if Shou really only likes guys, Wataru-kun makes a startling love declaration, and Kisa-chan gets her first kiss. But perhaps the greatest bit of news (and certainly the strangest) happens when Shou-kun reveals that Kisa-chan's papa did not marry his older sister after all. EH?? Well then who exactly is Shou, and what is his relationship to Kisa'chan's new stepmother?? The truth is surprising!!
