STORY?

Is there a story in Katte ni Kaizou? Well, sort of. Each chapter is a new little self-contained story. But there is a main premise, which is that Katsu Kaizou, a very gullible 17 year old high school student, is a believer in science fiction, aliens, ghosts, UFOs, conspiracies, etc, and thinks that everything going on around him is the result of some sort of alien plot to take over the world.

The series begins with Kaizou being hit on the head by a human-body dummy (like the kind they have in school science labs, that show the internal organs of the body, etc) and when he comes to, he finds himself in the school's science lab. His first conclusion is that he was turned into a cyborg, and now believes that he has a powerful cyborg body. The people who dropped the dummy decide to play along. Suzu-chan, the 18 year old genius (well she seems really smart) gives kaizou an AA battery and tells him it is his new power source. Then she leaves kaizou to figure out how to use this power source. Looking for a place to put the battery, Kaizou can find only one place to insert it....

This is a shounen series, and the stories can get pretty gross or vulgar, but I think they are funny! No, this not some plot-driven complicated story. Kaizou joins the school's science club, and ends up coming in contact with all sorts of strange things like log people, deadly sushi, pee-blades, scary infections, robot invasions, ghosts, living dolls, and more!
